📽️ Ventana Sur Returns for 14th Edition, 28 Nov – 2 Dec
The 14th edition of Ventana Sur, the Latin American film market co-organized by the Marché du Film and National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), will return to Buenos Aires, Argentina for its annual in-person event from Monday, November 28 to Friday, December 2, 2022.
Latin America’s biggest film and TV market and forum is an all-in-one destination for content in all its forms, from fiction to series, animation, documentaries and video games. A series of conferences, roundtables, and networking events will also be organized as part of Ventana Sur’s unique lineup of programs: Animation!, Blood Window, Las Maquinitas and SoloSerieS among others.
Through its various sections, Ventana Sur has nurtured and established THE careers of many up-and-coming talents and is proud to be a place where Latin American filmmakers can sign with major agencies, get their scripts sold, find funding or have their films distributed or programmed in other festivals.
As the global industry continues to bounce back from a challenging time, torn between the need to limit travel and the need to expand professional horizons and diversify business opportunities, Ventana Sur will be a welcome return to form for the Latin American creative industry looking to reconnect with global partners and industry professionals.
In 2019, Ventana Sur boasted 2,600 participants, including 425 non-Latam international professionals. 425 Distributors, VOD platforms, sales agents, 70 festival programmers, 80 financiers and decision-makers, 1,100 producers, as well as 900 directors and writers came together to reveal or discover 359 films and projects.
After an online 2020 and hybrid 2021 edition, we are thrilled to be able to get back to business as usual in Buenos Aires. The Latin American market is ripe with creativity and the independent financing and sales market is still incredibly fertile, making Ventana Sur an unmissable event for anyone in the content sales, production and distribution industry. With both a co-production forum and a TV arm, in addition to its thriving film market, Ventana Sur is the ultimate all-in-one stop on your year-long festival and market circuit. We look forward to welcoming back longtime partners and greeting new participants.
