🎉 Announcing the 2024 Docs-In-Progress Award Winners on Doc Day!

The winners of the Docs-in-Progress Awards have been revealed. Through collaboration with partnering organizations, these prestigious awards honor the most promising documentaries in the final stages of production and are highly esteemed within the documentary filmmaking industry.

Every year, Cannes Docs collaborates with global institutions to showcase meticulously chosen documentaries in their final stages of production, poised to enter the circuit within weeks or months. Across eight showcases, each featuring four projects, these documentaries are presented through live pitches and 10-minute excerpts of rough cuts, strategically crafted to captivate documentary decision-makers, festival programmers, and sales agents.

This year’s winners were selected by esteemed figures in the documentary realm: Ana Alice de Morais, Rasmus Steen, and Opal H. Bennett. They unveiled the winners during a ceremony that marked the culmination of the Marché du Film’s annual Doc Day — the day-long celebration that unites the documentary community in Cannes for a series of engaging panels, discussions, and masterclasses.

This year’s Doc-Day awards are offered by IEFTA (International Emerging Film Talent Association), Al Jazeera Documentary, Hiventy, Rise and Shine World Sales, Alphapanda, Think-Film Impact Production, and DAE (Documentary Association of Europe).
