Brazil’s participation in Cannes promises to be a major highlight of the 2025 market edition, thanks to our new partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Brazil, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — through the Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR) and the Brazilian Embassy in Paris — as well as the Brazilian Trade & Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil)

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), also known as Itamaraty, is the executive branch responsible for Brazil’s foreign policy. In addition to representing the country in international negotiations and promoting foreign trade, the MRE plays a key role in strengthening Brazil’s cultural diplomacy worldwide.

Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR)

The Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR) is a division of the MRE dedicated to promoting Brazilian culture, the arts, education, and the Portuguese language internationally. Through various initiatives and partnerships, the IGR works to strengthen Brazil’s cultural presence abroad.

Embassy of Brazil in Paris

The Brazilian Embassy in Paris represents the Brazilian government in France and hosts the IGR’s activities, expanding the reach of cultural diplomacy and bringing Brazil closer to both the French and international public.

ApexBrasil

ApexBrasil works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad and attract foreign investment in strategic sectors of the economy. The Agency carries out various trade promotion initiatives with the aim of promoting exports and enhancing the value of products and services abroad. It also works in coordination with public and private actors to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to Brazil, with a focus on strategic sectors for developing the competitiveness of companies and the country.
