Synopsis: 

Female bodybuilders’ sexually extreme appearance makes them outcasts – a price to pay for choosing a non-conformist way to self-fulfillment.
Going under the tanned skin we look for the reasons lying behind their lifestyle.
We want to explore bodybuilding through empathy and understanding, and at the same time, to provide the viewer with a rare angle to observe our society.

Director’s profile: 

Anna Nemes is a painter artist and a filmmaker. Her works have been exhibited across Europe in solo and group exhibitions since 2010. She works with the internationally acknowledged Várfok Gallery since 2016. “Beauty of the Beast” is her debut. Her second film project, a fiction, “Gentle Monster” received the Main Prize at the Jerusalem International Film Lab in 2019. Nemes is currently doing her DLA studies at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.
