Synopsis:

Seven men from 17 to 70 years old.
All city-dwellers with nothing in common apart from the fact that they are all on the verge of a nervous breakdown. They meet up at a lonely station for an unusual course in the wild
that is supposed to get them back on their feet.
Each step in this boot camp, designed by an eccentric and feisty female coach, aims to reveal them to themselves.
The task seems to be a tough one, especially as nothing goes as planned between these men.

Director’s biography:

Audrey Dana is a French actress, screenwriter and director. She first made her name as an actress in Claude Lelouch’s Roman de gare. She then quickly tried her hand at directing, and her second film, French Women, at the French box office! In 2022, she returned to directing with Men on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, bringing together a cast of renowned actors in front of her camera. She will soon be appearing in the series Zorro, where she plays the role of Gabriella.

Producer’s biography:

Olivier Delbosc (born August 20, 1968 in Toulouse) is a French film producer. He heads Fidélité Films with Marc Missonnier. Olivier Delbosc creates his own production company, Curiosa Films, and produces mainstream feature films. In 2014, alongside Marc Missonnier, he was named by Télérama as one of the “Top 50” of those who “have the power and talent to raise money, give birth to films and make them popular”.

Born in 1973, Stéphane Castang is an actor, writer and director. His first feature, Vincent Must Die, premiered at Critics’ Week during Cannes Film Festival 2023 before being selected at several international film festivals, including Sitges, Busan and BFI London. It was also nominated for Best First Film at the César Awards 2024.

Gustave Kervern and Benoît Delépine form an iconic duo of contemporary French filmmakers. Their collaboration began on television and solidified with committed and offbeat feature films, sometimes absurd, such as Aaltra (2004) and Louise-Michel (2008), blending dark humor and social critique. Among others, they directed Mammuth (2010), Le Grand Soir (2012), Saint-Amour (2016), and En même temps (2022). Kervern and Delépine founded their production company No Money Production in 2005.

Régis Roinsard is a French director born in 1972 in Louviers. After studying at the Ecole Supérieure d’Etudes Cinematographics (ESEC), Régis began directing with his short films Les Petits-Salés (1995), Madame Dron (1997), SimOn (2001) and Belle, finally possible ( 2005). He also directs several music videos (Mareva Galanter, Jean-Louis Murat, Jane Birkin and Anaïs). In 2012 Régis directed his first feature film, Populaire, with Déborah François and Romain Duris. Hailed by critics, this film also earned him a nomination for the 2013 César in the best first film category. Then it will be The Translators in 2019 and Waiting for Bojangles in 2021.

Anna Novion, born to a Swedish mother and a French father, began her filmmaking journey while studying at the faculty of Saint-Denis. Crafting three short films between 2000 and 2004, she later delved into the works of Ingmar Bergman, culminating in a theoretical DEA. In 2008, her feature debut “Les grandes personnes” garnered acclaim at the International Critics’ Week. Novion’s storytelling, marked by empathy, explores the complexities of human relationships with simplicity and humor.
